Dear colleagues
The Hospital Infection Society Pune Forum takes great pleasure in inviting you to Pune for the National Conference on Infection Control - HISICON 2009, to be held from 22–25 January 2009.
Pune is situated at the foothills of the Western Ghats, and is known as much for its pleasant climate as for its culture and distinction. The Oxford of the East is acknowledged as a hub of academic excellence with its plethora of institutes of higher learning.
This Conference in Hospital Infection Control will prove to be an academic treasure trove. It will also highlight the crucial issues, which ultimately affect good outcome related to patient care. Some of the objectives of this Conference would be:
- To review key topics in Infection Control.
- To assist clinicians and paramedical staff in incorporating the latest developments and techniques in their practice.
- To examine common diagnostic problems.
- To provide opportunities to discuss issues in infection control with faculty members and colleagues.
With these aims in mind the target audience would be clinicians from all medical faculties, colleges/institutes, nursing personnel, CSSD personnel and residents.
Lest we forget, we would also like to assure everyone that after all the hard work comes the play and entertainment part, and we would leave no stone unturned in making your visit to Pune a pleasurable and memorable one.
